Alpha´s curvy bullied human mate

Chapter 78: Sisters

Penelope

"Mate? What do you mean, mate?" I asked, flabbergasted, while my friend seemed to be having a heart attack.

My brothers were excited, agitated like bulls, wanting to throw themselves on top of her, and I was thankful that at least they were dressed. "She's our mate... our only mate," they said in unison.

"What the hell is going on?" asked Jack.

"Mate? Like those stories...a soul mate?" she asks, and I could see the joy in my brothers' faces.

"You know about us? Really? It's...perfect" I could see them happy like I had never seen them before, not since they were kids and I left the pack. "Werewolf stuff?" asked Jack, and we all looked at him in surprise.

"What? A tall, long-haired man told me this could happen," he replied.

"Alpha Asher? So you knew about all this?" I ask.

"Just a little... so these are your brothers and little Marianne is their mate? For both of them?" he asks in horror.

"She's ours and no one else," they say with dark eyes. Marianne lets out a gasp.

"My dear God..." Jack replies and retreats, giving orders to protect the whole area. My brothers come closer and Marianne is speechless.

"You're so incredibly beautiful, mate..." Luke says, taking her hand and kissing it.

"Marianne... what a beautiful name..." Luther says, taking the other hand and bringing it to his lips as she blushes.

"I can't believe the stories are real. What... now?" she asks almost in a whisper.

"We're yours..."

"Completely yours..." she is spellbound.

Well, this has turned out so much better than I could have ever imagined. I'm so happy for them, and I go to talk to Jack. Sweet Marianne is in very good hands, in fact... in four hands. "You're such a little mate.... "they tell her and I hear her giggle. Amazingly, her dream has come true.

I spend hours explaining to Jack everything that has happened, sparing no details or descriptions of who our enemies are. And he also tells me his side of the story.

"We have suspected it for a long time, there were rumors, you know. And the one they call your Alpha Nathaniel has also been helping us," he says, I am glad just to hear his name and that someone is talking nice about him. There is still pain in my heart, but I have to pull myself together.

"By now, most of the people in Belle Springs know about it, and we have called people from other towns who have experienced similar things, to help us. We set up the base here because it is closest to the so-called werewolf territory. Many people have also been sent to safer towns," he tells me.

"Is that why the town is so empty and people have already left?"

"Unfortunately not, my dear. We don't know the whereabouts of many of our friends, and it has to do with what the long-haired Alpha says are kidnappings and strange affairs that he and the pale man are trying to solve," my boss says, and I assume he is talking about Jeremiah.

"You can trust them, I would trust them with my life."

"You bet, they've been preparing us," he says, looking tired.

I can't imagine what it must be like for humans to suddenly have this horror story come crashing down on them, with their lives at stake and so much uncertainty about what has happened to the rest of their neighbors and friends. "I don't know if we're prepared for what's coming, ..." I say, my voice breaking.

"I know...but we're not going to let it take our home. The people who are left are the ones who can fight, and we are convinced that we will not go down without a good fight," he says and I hug him.

They say that we humans are weak and that we have no power, I have heard it so many times in the last few days. And here they are, ready to give their lives for what they love and the people they care about.

I tell him about the wolfsbane and the silver. We go into the forest to look for the wolfsbane plant to see how we can use it to defend ourselves.

I sleep for a while, and when I wake up, we have a visitor.

"Jeremiah..."

"Mrs. Luna... I heard what happened, we had a meeting with Mrs Wolf... and he didn't show up" he tells me and Asher appears as well. I tell them all and they are frankly horrified. "By the moon goddess and the King of all wolves," Asher says, shocked.

"In hundreds of years of living, I've never heard such a thing from a pack. Marco... he certainly has the power to bend the will," Jeremiah says. Meanwhile, Asher is annoyed and outraged.

"Luna Penelope... you know it is not for werewolves to interfere in mating matters. But I can assure you, Nate loves you. He would never do such a thing and just like he said, if he were to be cheating on you, may the goddess forbid it... he would be dead already. By marking you he has given up any chance of being with anyone else," the Alpha says, and I sob with relief.

I knew it, but this news is like a balm.

"Now we have to work on the protection of the humans, they will come here no doubt thinking you are here, it is the most logical option. And we have to get you out to another pack," Asher says, planning as I stand up.

"No... I can't, I can't get any further away from him. I feel the bond choking me if I take another step. Not to mention my people are here, I can't leave them," I say and no matter how much they insist, there is no way they can change my mind. We agree that we need to focus on the town for now, Asher brings his warriors, and they start setting up barricades and arming the people.

"I saw some rogues near the forest, it looks like they are coming closer. But sooner or later they will come here..." Asher says.

"We also have another problem... other councils in the country have known of what happened here and are bringing up similar actions. If such an imbalance occurs... it is possible that other authorities will intervene..." Jeremiah says, and I see the wolves fall silent. Jack and I look around, confused.

"Authorities?" I ask.

"The whole supernatural world is about balance, Mrs. Luna, councils regulate regions... but there is someone higher up," the vampire says.

"No, there can't be..." Asher says.

"I heard on the way, I saw... one of his soldiers," says Jeremiah. I'm still lost.

"What the fuck? Does HE exist?" my brothers ask.

"Who?" says Jack in despair.

"The king of all wolves," Asher says tensely. A king? Something... I had heard, but never imagined it to be true.

"What will this king do to us?" asks Jack, and the vampire sighs.

"He won't like it that humans know our secret, and he won't like it that the Council does what it wants..." says Asher.

"Do you think we can gain any advantage by approaching him? It's impossible to hide this mess," I say, Jeremiah smiles at me. "What...?"

"You are talking like a true Luna, "he says and I blush.

"It's possible... sooner or later they'll come here. Maybe we can talk to his majesty, and could lure Marco's enemies... and hopefully avoid a confrontation," Jeremiah says thoughtfully.

"And if those enemies are convinced that Marco stole from them... they might make excellent allies," Asher says. I feel a bit more encouraged.

I set out to find Marianne, I know what it's like to be a human with a wolf, I don't want to imagine what it must be like with two, young warriors at that. But I find her laughing and completely enjoying the attention of my brothers. "By the goddess... you have the most beautiful smile..." Luther says, stroking her face.

"And look at those adorable little feet!" says Luke.

"Our mate is like a little doll... beautiful and delicate...and here we are to pamper and protect you..." says Luther and I hear them purring.

"Penny!" says Marianne when she sees me.

"Guys, I know this is pretty hard for you, but can I talk to my friend for a second?"

"Are you okay, is there something you're having second thoughts about..." I ask and find that she has a look on her face that is the closest thing to being drunk, apparently from love.

"I don't think I've ever been so happy! I always had the impression that there was someone out there waiting for me... who would love me for who I was. But I never thought there would be two! Werewolves! And so handsome and smart!" she says, blushing, and I smile.

I guess the fact that she has read all those novels has been good for her, and she understands all about the werewolf world. Incredible.

"You're my sister now..." I tell her, and she throws her arms around me.

"You brought me the greatest happiness and I will follow you wherever you go... my sister... my Luna. You are a Luna!" she says, making me emotional. And I'm hugging her when Asher suddenly appears.

"Luna... werewolves are coming... we have to get you out of here," he says, and I panic. Suddenly I'm surrounded by warriors and Jeremiah, who are all convinced that I have to leave.

"I can't leave, I already told you"

"Luna... if my mate would be in danger... I would want her away, to be protected... I know it's hard, but..." Asher says.

"I won't do it" I say and feel a shudder as we hear howling. Suddenly they are at the front of the town, roaring as if calling us to come out.

"Penny!" they call to me as I approach.

They are there, roaring, and in front of them is a woman. I remember her, it's the rogue, the one I took out of the cell.

"Rogues!" shouts Asher and his warriors roar and prepare to turn. The woman speaks clearly and fearlessly.

"We are the rogues of the forest... and we are here to make oaths to our Luna."
