Chapter 1411
As they walked out of the hospital, Lydia made a call to the police. It was time to settle the full account of everything Tiffany had done.
Suddenly, a car pulled up in front of her, the window rolling down to reveal Quincy's concerned face. "My mom didn't give you any trouble, did she?"
"Not at all. She's full of regret and wants my forgiveness, but I can't let go of what happened," Lydia replied, opening the door and getting in. She filled Quincy in on everything that had happened in the hospital room.
After hearing it all, Quincy took her hand. "From now on, we'll each live our own lives. I'll visit on holidays, but I'll go alone. You don't need to see her if you don't want to."
He would return out of family obligation, but there was no reason for Lydia to bear the burden.
Lydia heard the care and love in his words and readily agreed.
Once they had settled things with Tiffany, they let their families know and boarded a plane to Aceland. Throughout the flight, they sat close, Lydia resting her head on Quincy's shoulder. "If we could stay this happy forever, it'd be perfect. When I asked for a divorce, it tore me up inside, but I was so caught up in my own mind."
"It was my fault, too. If I'd handled things at home sooner, you wouldn't have gone through so much pain." Quincy placed a gentle kiss on her forehead. "All that's behind us now. Let's not talk about it anymore. Get some rest, and when you wake up, we'll be at the fjords." "You should get some sleep, too," Lydia whispered, tilting her head up until their lips met.
They both felt certain they would be happy together, for the rest of their lives.
Meanwhile, as Nash worked on a new project for the company, he was also busy with an investigation into the organization.
With Quincy's pursuit of Lydia finally successful, he had hoped to hand off the project to him. But when he called, he got a single response.
"We're on our honeymoon. We'll deal with the project after we get back."
"When will you be back?" Nash asked, glancing out the window. Suddenly, he found himself wanting a getaway with Nina, too.
"No idea. Maybe in a week or so."
Quincy was currently walking along
a glacier, arm around Lydia,
surrounded by snow and with his
love by his side.
He wished this moment could last forever. All his hard work and sacrifices were for moments like this. As long as Lydia was happy, it was all worth it.
Nash understood their feelings well.
They say absence makes the heart
grow fonder, and after being apart and reuniting, they naturally cherished each other even more.
"Enjoy yourselves," Nash said, ending the call. Afterward, he called in the company's new assistant.

The previous hire hadn't passed the probation period, and he didn't feel like casting a wide search again. Fortunately, Ben Lucas's cousin, Jake Lucas, had recently graduated from studying abroad. He was a student with impressive internships at several major companies, bringing both knowledge and hands-on experience.
After discussing it with Ben, Nash decided to bring Jake on board directly.
A knock soon sounded on the door. "Mr. York?"
"Come in."
The next moment, Jake stepped into the office and walked up to the desk.
