Chapter 683: My pleasure
Marian is not annoyed and smiles lightly.
"Since I'm sitting here, I certainly have that strength."
Rowson was noncommittal and simply asked, "And what makes me trust you?"
Marian's eyes crossed with fervour and he spoke proudly, "Just because I like Hector!"
Today Marian's fondness for Hector can be described as insane and she loathes any woman who approaches him.
A woman who could have Hector's affection should never live in the world!
Hector can only be hers!
The extreme love has caused Marian's face to be unusually distorted at the moment, which is disgusting and horrifying to look at.
A glint of disgust flashed under Rowson's eyes, but it didn't show, saying with his face as normal, "What does that mean?"
Gathering her madness, Marian smiled, "I want Hector, you want Eloise, our interests are aligned and do not conflict, it would be a shame not to work together."
I have to say that Marian has a point, yet Rowson is not the least bit swayed inside.
Such a woman is too dangerous, just like a snake.
He could not guarantee that the woman would not turn on him if Rowson came into contact with her later.
Rowson sniffed for a moment in silence, seemingly weighing his options in his mind.
After a long moment, he said, "So what? On my own, I was able to get what I wanted."
With a turn of phrase, Rowson said again, "But there's more power in one more person, isn't there? No one is 100 per cent sure."
A smile tugged at the corners of Marian's mouth after hearing Rowson's words.
"So, Mr. Rowson is agreeing to work together?"
"Hmm." Rowson answered faintly.
With those words, Marian flashed a smile and got up towards Rowson, extending her hand.
"Good cooperation."
Rowson reached out to shake it and the two reached an agreement.
Afterwards, Rowson left the room and returned to the box.
Looking out of the window, Marian couldn't help but feel in a very happy mood.
The waiter was called in and another bottle of rather strong wine was ordered.
Five minutes later, there was a knock on Marian's door.
"Come in." Marian's lazy voice came out.
"Marian."
The address made Marian get up from the sofa straight away.
She glanced back and met Hall's worried gaze.
Marian's eyes immediately flashed with a hint of displeasure and his voice was cold, "What brings you here."
Putting the tray down in his hands, Hall walked over to Marian, a faint look of exhaustion in his eyes, and spoke, "Stop it, stop it. The prince is not someone you can get, is there no room in your eyes for anyone else but him?" Marian shrugged off Hall's hand with a cold grimace, disgusted by Hall's touch.
"Whether I can or cannot is my own business, not yours! It's not your turn to be in charge of my affairs."
Hall sighs and closes his weary eyes.
A faint sadness swept through his heart that Marian's words had hurt him after all.
In her eyes, it was distasteful to him, I think.
He urges Marian to stop being obsessed, but how is he not obsessed with someone he can't have?
Still, looking at Marian, Hall couldn't let her fall deeper and deeper.
According to reliable sources, Hector has already started working on her investigation.
Hector is not a man they can afford to mess with.
Hall took Marian by the arm and held her in a death grip despite Marian's struggles.
In a mute voice, he begged, "Don't do anything stupid, count me in as begging you."
Unable to break free of Hall's confinement, Marian couldn't help but sneer at the words, "Is that your begging attitude?"
Her voice was cold and unmistakable, as if it were a call from a cold spring.
"Hall, I'm telling you, don't get too cocky, you're in no position to meddle in my life, who do you think you are? And what is your relationship with me? Don't treat me with what you think is good." With those words, Marian's fist landed heavily on Hall's body.
Her fist was enough to break an ordinary man's ribs, and Hall, for one, couldn't help but grunt.
But he still held Marian hard, bowing his head slightly and resting it on Marian's shoulder, and no matter what Marian did he wouldn't let go.
He can't stand by and watch Marian go and do something stupid....
Emotions are the most harmful things in this world.
No one can avoid it, no matter who they are.
It brings more pain than pleasure.
Hall vaguely remembers the first time he saw Marian and clearly heard his heart racing...
If liking could be controlled, there would be less tragedy in the world.
He knew that Marian was poison to him and that if he drank it he would die and if he didn't he would still die.
It was thought that a giving heart would get a little glance from her, but Hall was wrong.
Marian is no fool, Hall's emotions she resisted from the start.
Only a man like Hector would be worthy of her love.
"Can't you ... look at me just a little?" Hall murmured softly.
He will always be the loser in this jousting match and will always occupy a humble position.
Unable to bear the sight of Hall, Marian pushed Hall away once more with great force.
"Hall! I told you to stay out of my life! You're in no position to do that! What I want to do is my business! Get the hell out of my way early if you know what's good for you!" Her words were like a knife to Hall's heart, stabbing him one by one.
"Marian!" Hall roared out with red eyes and a miserable look.
"You can't afford to make one mistake after another!"
"I'm happy to."
Knowing that an abyss lay ahead, Marian jumped anyway.
A thousand mistakes were no match for her desire to get her hands on Hector.
There was no way she could turn back.
After a moment of silence, Marian looked coldly at Hall.
"Go away and don't make me do it."
Hall couldn't help but clench her fists at the sound of her voice, her eyes slightly red and her lower lip tightly bitten.
He didn't want to be too much of a wreck in front of Marian.
Finally, he unclenched his fist helplessly, "I get it."
Then turn around and leave.
Hall raced all the way back home, opened the family liquor store and drank half to death in it.
The one who is loved will always be emboldened.
Marian, Marian, you really know how to stab people where it hurts the most.
When Ramm found Hall, his entire body was lying in a liquor store with his clothes in disarray. Leaning against the wall, stifling a bottle of wine.
The strong smell of alcohol made him frown.
Ramm could vaguely guess what was going on, knowing that Hall was coming to France.
Finding a place to settle down, Ramm grabbed Hall's bottle as soon as he could.
"That's enough! You've had too much to drink."
Hall looked up at him without speaking.
Casually, he unwrapped another fresh bottle of wine and poured it down with his head held high.
Hall's eyes were now bloodshot and his dishevelled hair made him look ghastly.
Ramm felt bad when he looked like that.
"Don't drink it."
With that, he grabbed Hall's drink again.
Hall doesn't answer, just looks sullenly at the doorway.
