My Heart only Beats for You (Natalie Godfrey)

Chapter 2493

After seeing the Afrita Tower, Rorita took Tremaine to a nearby restaurant.

She told Tremaine that she had eaten in many restaurants and that this was the best one she had ever been to.

Tremaine nodded.

In the following days, Tremaine accompanied Rorita, but remained distant the entire time.

Rorita noticed this as well.

The trip was meant to last three days but it was cut short into two instead.

Rorita had bought herself a plane ticket home.

Tremaine was shocked. 'Aren't we going back tomorrow?"

Rorita smiled bleakly. "Sir, since you don't want to be here, it would be better to go home early."

Tremaine was quiet.

After a while, he said, "I'm sorry."

Rorita shook her head and said, "Sir, you don't have to be sorry. Love isn't something that can be forced after all. There's no need to be sorry since you don't love me." Tremaine kept quiet.

He was very sorry for Rorita, but not because he didn't love her.

He owed her way too much.

Before they left, Tremaine asked if he could take Rorita to see the Afrita Tower once more.

Rorita agreed.

This time, they saw a middle-aged man there.

The man was playing the cello.

The song he was playing felt bitter and sad.

Rorita walked over to him.

She listened quietly to the man until he was done playing his song. She then said to him in Balinonese, "Sir, the song you played was beautiful."

She had heard many famous cellists play but none of them were as good as this man.

His piece was able to touch the deepest emotions that people felt inside.

The blond-haired man smiled and said, "I heard you and your boyfriend speaking in Glevanian. Are you from Glevania?"

Rorita held her breath then turned around to see Tremaine standing nearby. He hadn't heard them talking.

She whispered, "No, he's not my boyfriend. He's already in love with another woman."

"But you love him very much, don't you?" the man asked.

Rorita laughed. "You have very sharp eyes, Sir."

She hadn't expected a complete stranger to see right through her.

The man started playing again and said, "It's not because of that. It's because I too was once in love, Love looks the same to everyone. Lean see that you are in love with him." en FindNovel

Rorita was surprised.

She stared at the man and said, "But you aren't with that person, aren't you?"

She recognized the look of loneliness in the man's eyes.

The song he played felt extremely sad.

If he was with the person he loved, he wouldn't look like this, nor would he be playing such a sad song.

The man shrugged. "Nope."

Rorita said, "Well sir, it looks like you and I are the same."

Rorita seemed to have stirred up the

man's memories. He then said, "Miss, do you know why I noticed you were speaking Glevanian? It's because the woman I loved was from Glevania. I met her when I was traveling there. She was a tour guide."

"I became a teacher in Glevania just to be with her. Unfortunately, we couldn't be together. Her parents wouldn't let her marry a foreigner Even when I said that I would stay in Glevania for the rest of my life to be with her, her parents still refused, so..."
