My Heart only Beats for You (Natalie Godfrey)

Chapter 2498

Her body was ice cold.

Tremaine's fingers trembled.

Matthew was standing at the side of the room and told Tremaine everything.

Not long ago, Rorita had a check-up and confirmed that her heart was a suitable match for Yesseca.

Rorita then went to see Yesseca's attending doctor.

She then paid the doctor a lot of money to ensure that he would do the heart transplant in secret last night so that no one would know.

Tremaine was quiet.

He constantly kept his eyes on Rorita's body.

He had known Rorita for a very long time.

But this was the first time he ever looked at her for such a long time.

Matthew didn't say anything else and quietly stood beside him.

After some time, Tremaine asked, "Did she do this voluntarily?"

Matthew replied quietly, "Yes. No one forced her into this. She did this voluntarily and even told the doctor to do it in secret."

Tremaine pursed his lips and stayed silent.

"Also, the doctor handed me a letter. He said it was for you from Rorita."

Tremaine took the letter from Matthew.

"I'll leave you to it." Matthew then quietly left the operating room.

Selina was waiting outside.

"Is Tremaine alright?" Selina looked worried.

Matthew shook his head.

He said, "His fingers are trembling. He doesn't seem well."

Seline felt conflicted.

She said, "Matthew, I just can't understand why his wife would give her heart to Yesseca. None of this makes sense."

Yesseca probably didn't even know anything about Rorita.

So why was she willing to donate her heart to Yesseca?

Matthew added, "Maybe she did it for Tremaine."

Selina was puzzled.

Matthew's eyes glimmered knowingly and explained, "Tremaine was willing to give up his life for Yesseca. It isn't out of the question to imagine that another woman would do the same for him." He was an amazing man after all.

It wouldn't be surprising for a woman who fancied him to give up her life for him.

But Rorita was a very strange woman.

Because she didn't just sacrifice her life for Tremaine.

By doing so, she had also fulfilled Tremaine and Yesseca's wishes.

A regular woman wouldn't make such a sacrifice.

But then Selina figured it out.

She felt bitterness in her heart and couldn't say anything.

Rorita's face appeared in her mind.

Although she had never seen Rorita with her eyes open, she could imagine what she looked like.

She looked gentle but firm.

Inside the operating room, Tremaine read the letter.

Tremaine saw Rortia's lovely handwriting.

"Sir, I had meant to give you this letter at a later day, but I was afraid that you might make things difficult for the doctor so I told him to give t to you much earlier. I just want you to know that this was my own choice, the doctor did not insist or coerce me into doing the operation. Please don't make things difficult for the doctor."

"When I first learned about your plan to give your heart to Miss Cowell came up with this plan. I don't mind getting divorced, but I cannot continue living in a world with you. Because I love you, sir."

"I can accept your resignation as president, but cannot accept your death. I cannot accept the reality of living in a world without ever seeing you again. That's why I decided to donate my heart to Miss Cowell."
