Chapter 1753
Nash scanned the group. Seeing they had only sustained minor injuries, he felt a slight sense of relief.
Still shaken, Dante forced a smile and said, "We were lucky you arrived in time, Commander Calcraft. If you had been a bit later, we would've been in serious trouble!"
"So, why did you confront the enemy without understanding their strength first?" Nash retorted, giving Dante a stern look.
Although they were primarily led by the Divine Strategy Squadron, being a late-stage Profound Oriental Realm cultivator, Dante still held significant influence. As a senior elder of a major sect, leading a group to confront Western cultivators without first assessing their strength was sheer recklessness.
Dante caught the reproach in Nash's tone, and his face turned red as he chuckled awkwardly. "Indeed, I acted rashly..."
Anxious to defend Dante, Ryan quickly interjected, "You can't blame him, Nash. These Western cultivators are too despicable. They launched a surprise attack on us in the dead of night. If we hadn't been somewhat prepared, we would've been wiped out by now!" Nash smiled. "I'm not blaming anyone. I just want to remind you that even if we need to act, we should first understand the enemy's strength. Knowing yourself and the enemy is the key to winning a hundred battles."
When Nash arrived and saw the sea of fire, he immediately guessed that the Western cultivators had launched an attack. If he had been there, he might have acted impulsively too. However, he would have first assessed their strength.
Dante clasped his fists and said, "You're absolutely right, Commander Calcraft. This was my responsibility!"
Nash chuckled and returned the gesture with a clasped fist. "You acted to uphold the dignity of the Eastern cultivators. Such righteousness is admirable. You need not blame yourself!"
After exchanging a few more courteous words, Nash asked, "Where are the Divine Strategy Squadron members?"
The base had turned into a sea of fire. Nash had been alarmed when he saw it but saw no bodies after scanning the place. He guessed they had all relocated before the incident.
"They left through an underground river, but we don't know where they are right now," Dante explained.
Nash nodded. "Everyone, enter the tower. Let's go find them!"
The group followed Nash into the Chaos Tower, which he then moved around as they searched for their allies. It was not a difficult feat to control the Chaos Tower as all that was required was spiritual power.
Eric had been the first to enter the tower, so Ditto granted him the authority to control it. Now that the Chaos Tower recognized Nash, he could naturally control it as well. However, to gain full control of it, he still needed to reach the ninth floor.
Shortly after the Chaos Tower departed, Abner and a few others landed on the ground.
"Is that Nash?" Abner asked, looking in the direction where the Chaos Tower had left.
Roscoe glanced at his severed arm and nodded silently.
Abner took a deep breath. "It's likely he'll break through to the Divine Soujourn Realm soon."
Roscoe's expression darkened. "What if the six of us joined forces?"
"Mr. Bard, please don't include Moongaze Court in this. We'll never attack him!" Clyde responded with a mocking expression.
In his mind, he thought, 'This guy is a
fool. Did he not just see how Nash defeated a fifth-tier Legendary Realm cultivator in an instant? Even if the six of us were to join forces, we might not be a match for him, let alone defeat him.
"It took Nash only a few seconds to defeat someone of that level, which means he can easily crush the six of us. Still, he wants to crush him?'
Roscoe stared at Clyde with dark eyes. "Clyde, do you also intend to leave the Six Great Sects?"
"You think you represent the Six Great Sects?" Clyde retorted. "No, now it's the Four Great Sects. If the Four Great Sects can't accommodate Moongaze Court, then I have no qualms about leaving."
