Our Surprise Mate

Being paralyzed for a week was traumatizing. It's been three days since I gained control over my body, but learning how to walk again was not easy. I still feel unsteady on my feet sometimes. I would have fallen down a flight of stairs last night if Tae wasn't there to catch me.

Tae and Val's parents are staying with us until the Tribrid, Eden, is found. I guess King Coolidge was unaware of the prophecy or her plan to invade our territory, but he is not willing to interfere with it. He told Tae to do what he must to protect his people, but he could not put his queen and the other two Tribrids at risk. He also mentioned how weird Eden has been acting for the last few weeks. She barely left her house and refused to eat meals with them as they usually did. If she knew about the prophecy that early, I can only imagine how much she prepared for this.

More than anything, I'm terrified. I wonder how many people Eden has convinced to kill me. I don't know what spells or potions she is using. She said I will be the one who starts a war that will result in three thousand deaths, but I could simply not start a war. There we go, problem solved! Maybe it's more complex than that. Maybe I'll start a war unintentionally. I don't want to be the reason three thousand people die. I don't want to be the reason Tribrids get wiped off the face of the earth. All I wanted was to find the love of my life and have a bunch of babies that look like mini versions of us. Sitting at the dinner table with Tae, Val, their parents, and Lucas, I can't help but think about everyone around me being in danger. Lucas is an innocent child. Just the thought of anyone harming him makes me fume. I will rip Eden to shreds if anything happens to Lucas.

"Hazie, you need to calm down. Take a deep breath." Val's voice almost soothes my emotions, but it isn't enough. All I want is to kill, and my joints feel like they're on fire. I can't make it stop.

"Mom, take Lucas to his bedroom." Tae gets up from the table, and shifts before my eyes as soon as his mother and Lucas leave the room.

*It's okay, Hazel. You're shifting, and you won't be able to control it yet. Val and I will help you.* Tae mindlinks me.

This is my first time shifting since I woke up. I don't want to shift yet. I'm not ready.

"Don't resist it. Breathe and let your body do its job. It won't hurt as much if you try to relax. Next time won't be nearly as bad." Val remains in her human form, and Tae helps me out of my chair. My vision blurs, and the fire in my joints rolls down my limbs and up my spine. My jaws throb, and my fingers pop. Val told me shifting isn't painful, but this is excruciating. With Tae supporting my body and Val's voice comforting me, I take a deep breath and listen to her advice. "You're doing great, Hazie. Almost finished." Val is so close to me, rubbing my back, and I'm afraid I'll hurt her.

*You're such a beautiful Lycan.* Tae wipes away tears that streamed down my face. I feel hot, but I'm not hurting like I was.

"It's all done now. You are the prettiest Lycan I've ever seen. Or maybe I'm being biased." Her humor helps me relax, and she plants a sweet kiss behind my ear. I'm not sure how to react to her kiss, so I lick her cheek. Kissing isn't quite the same in this form.

"We will give you three some privacy now that we know Hazel is okay." Tae's father says before he and Val's parents get up, and leave the room.

*I'm sorry I ruined dinner. I had a lot on my mind, and something came over me. I hope Lucas wasn't scared.* Tae wraps his large arms around me.

*He's a Lycan child, and we shift in front of him all the time. I only had him taken to his room just in case something went wrong. I promise he's fine.* Tae nuzzles my neck as another thought crosses my mind.

*I think I'm stuck.* I say to both of them. I have no idea how to go back to normal.

Val laughs and shakes her head. "You can change back if you want. It's hard to explain, but just think about your human form and will yourself back to it."

*I'll change back with you. Ready?* Tae stands away from me, giving me time to fully appreciate his Lycan form. I see why Val is so adamant on moisturization because it's mostly skin that shows instead of hair. His body is much larger and cut with detailed muscle in all the right places. It's not only his body that doubled in size. I wasn't prepared to see he is fully naked, even though common sense should have told me that. He shifted so quickly, that I didn't see him remove his clothing to avoid ripping it. My clothes are still slightly clinging to my body with tears here and there. I can't help but wonder if they ever have sex in their Lycan form. To humans, that would be disgusting bestiality. Maybe it doesn't sit right with me because of the way I was raised, but Tae isn't some random animal. I'm a Lycan too, so it's normal for two beings of the same species to share intimacy, right? Now I want to see Val in her Lycan form too.

*Wait! I want to see Val in this form too. We can all shift back together.* I look at her and ask if she could shift for me.

Without a word, she strips her clothes and shifts within seconds. She's still bigger than I am, but not by much. Val's body is perfection, toned, and strong. Her eyes are like pools of whisky, captivating me. She's stunning as a human and brilliant as a Lycan.

*This is crazy. We are spectacular.* I'm not sure which one I mindlinked that to, but I had them both in mind. For the first time in ten days, I feel delightful.

*Let's change back now, on the count of three.* Val says. Tae does the counting, and I close my eyes, picturing my human self. I feel nothing. I open my eyes and see they both already changed back with ease, so I close my eyes and try it again. I don't change.

*Yep, I'm stuck.* I say to both of them. They laugh hysterically and I shrug my shoulders. I don't have the patience to try again, so I sit back in my chair and eat the rest of the food off of my plate. I have no problem staying a Lycan for a little while longer, but eventually, I'll need to figure this out.

*I'm glad you two find this amusing. Did it happen to you as well?* I ask them, and they shake their heads.

"We never got stuck in our Lycan form, but sometimes it does happen to humans who are newly transitioned. You'll shift back at some point or your body will naturally do it while you're asleep." Tae finally gives a helpful response. Thank goodness they have a large bed because I'm going to take up half of it if I don't shift back.

We tell Lucas goodnight and get ready for bed. Well, I couldn't technically tell him goodnight because I'm still stuck three and a half hours later. I did let him ride on my back for a while though. I swear his laughs are so adorable.

Tae and Val help me shower because I told them I didn't want to go to bed smelling like a dog, and thankfully they had special soap for their Lycan form. Who knew there was Lycan soap? I've been amazed for at least ten minutes. Their human hands thoroughly cleaning my body feels like a deep massage, so good that I could sleep on the shower floor. When they finish washing me, and Val brushes my overly sharp teeth before she and Tae take their shower. I'm still clumsy and struggling to get used to the change in my size, or else I would help wash them too. When I got up from the dinner table earlier, my tail swiped a bunch of dishes off of it as I turned around. I tried to turn back around to clean up my mess and accidentally knocked over my chair. I'm a hot mess, to say the least.

Val grabbed extra blankets, and we snuggle up into bed. She's using me as a body pillow, and Tae is spooning me. My body is hyperaware of their flesh against mine, and I start feeling some type of way. We haven't made love since they marked me. I spent days feeling lonely and longing for their affection, but I still haven't gotten it. I know the paralysis put a huge damper on my sex parade, but I need them so badly.

"Your arousal is dripping on me." Tae swipes a few fingers over my wetness. I wasn't expecting him to make contact with that part of me when I'm like this.

*Do you guys do stuff in your Lycan form?* I try to steady my breaths.

"All the time. We are Lycans no matter the form we're using. I love staying in my human form while Tae stays in his Lycan form." There is no way her human body can accommodate his Lycan erection. Or maybe hers can, but I doubt mine could. "I can shift and take care of you. If that's what you want." Tae's hand is back on me, and he's skillfully teasing me. After a few seconds, I'm ready to lose my mind. I no longer care about how weird the kink is.

*Yes, please. I'm aching.* I move against his touch for more. He disappears, but a second later he's got me by the legs. He drags my body to the edge of the bed. He's no longer the human version of himself. My large Lycan mate is ready to devour me, and I'm more than ready to take it. Excitement dances in Val's eyes while lust shines in mine.
