Chapter 15 — Union
With the wedding days away, it was getting harder to stay focused on the tasks at hand. Along with that, it was becoming increasingly obvious that Ellis was getting nervous about something, plus he would always sneak out when he thought everyone was asleep, so tonight Bryan and Randy would wait for me to signal them so they could follow to see where he would go. I would stay behind just in case he circled back or in case I wouldn't make it back before he would. To top things off, my two sons, Jarred and Preston, decided to stay with me until the wedding, so with everyone in the house, I had to make the attic my own special room. I'm not thrilled about it, but at least it's better than the basement. I have put all my witchy items, along with my tools, up there. I have some sparkly beaded drapes that you have to walk through after you open the door. I have also painted the walls purple, along with a purple couch. It's my own special place. It is also where I have my laptop with all my recorded videos on it from day one until now. I have also put little security cameras in all of the rooms of my new house so I can keep an eye on all the goings on in and around my property. I also had Randy and Bryan put outdoor camera's all along my property. Now you know why I was happy to have trees along my driveway. Also, I have a pressure alarm along the entryway of the driveway that nobody knows about that will send a front and back picture of the vehicle that enters my land to my cell phone so I will know. It seems that I am ready for anything and anyone, so that's one less thing that I will have to worry about.
The girls and I keep having to drive back and forth from Turner Falls back home every day, sometimes twice a day, making sure that everything is getting set up the way I want it. Between that and making sure everyone still fits in wedding attire, along with keeping the FBI up on all of Ellis's wedding guests so they can do background checks on them, I am completely mentally and physically exhausted by the time my wedding day came around.
That morning was hectic, with everyone running around gathering everything we needed for the day. The men left before the girls and I did since we had to do our makeup along with our hair. I had hired a beautician to come over to do our hair and makeup before the wedding. She did a beautiful job. I barely recognized my daughters. They looked so grown up with their hair all fixed up and their makeup professionally put on. I couldn't believe how grown up they had gotten. We made it to Turner Falls an hour before the wedding was scheduled to start, with Kaylee thanking me from behind about wearing regular clothes then changing into our dresses once we got to the castle, where they had blocked off the windows in one section of the castle for us women to change in.
Randy had sent me a text saying that they were going to wait until tomorrow to arrest Ellis and were hoping I could point out the other people in his group. It wouldn't be hard to point them out since it will be the only people there that I didn't know.
Randy thought it would be a good idea to use one of the female field agents to take the wedding photos so they could get the pictures they need to identify the other members of the terrorist group. The decorators I had hired did an amazing job with the flowers and all the tulle. There was beautiful green tulle around the handrails with the maroon and blue flowers at the beginning, middle, and end. There were large wooden trellises with leafy vines wrapped around them, along with sparkly lights hanging down for my dad to walk me under. The wooden benches on either side of the aisle had blue and maroon tulle made into bows on them. I can't say it enough, the sight was breathtaking.
Moonstone came into the changing room. "Are you ready, ma'am?" She asks me.
"As I'll ever be, I guess." I chuckle lightly.
She smiles sweetly at me then says, "I'll get everything started then."
I turn to look at my daughters. "I guess this is it. Are you two ready?" I ask them.
"We should be asking you if you're ready, mom." Kaylee replies as we hear our marching music start. The girls give me a hug as they start up the stairs. I take a deep breath before I start up, meeting Randy at the top of the stairs to finish walking me down to where Ellis stands waiting for me. That's the last thing I actually remember. I let myself get swept up in the moment since I had worked so long and hard to get here.
The reception was so much fun. Everyone was pretty well drunk before we had even cut the cake, but I did manage to point out Ellis's buddies to the director then, later on, give him their names so they could go arrest them for planning a massacre. So tomorrow, I can file for a divorce with the FBI director to back up my claims so I can get it pushed through the system faster.
During the reception, Mike, who Ellis calls his brother and second in command, decided it was ok to start firing off his handgun while screaming about how he was going to go on a shooting spree, killing people who weren't white along with people who he thought weren't Christian. I almost lost it right then and there, but Ellis jumped into action and made him take a walk with him. A few hours later, they showed back up with Mike soaked to the skin. I figured Ellis almost drowned him until he became sober once again.
"Ma'am, I'm sorry for the scene I caused moments ago. Please forgive me." Mike said as he walked up to where I was standing talking to Randy and Bryan, who excused themselves as he came up.
"Well, you did give my party a bit more spark, so I do forgive you, but no more alcohol for you," I stated.
He smiles, then nods his head in agreement, then goes off to dance with some of the ladies. Ellis had given him strict orders that he wasn't allowed to dance with Kaylee or Laura. I guess that's how much he trusts his so-called brother. I had booked one of the little cottages for our honeymoon night, so when things seemed to die down a bit, we snuck off, but not before I had asked Randy to take the children back home for me. I could relax knowing they were at home safe instead of there with the rowdy people that were left, who were mainly Ellis's friends.
