Chapter 3

DEXTER

"Alpha, your father demands your presence. He’s waiting and..."

"Shut the hell up Daniel, I’m trying to think," I yelled at him as I continued to pace to and fro the living room. How the hell could this be? My mate was a fucking stripper! And I had almost gone insane when my friends all wanted to have her. It was almost like my wolf could have ripped apart anyone who touched even a strand of her hair,

I couldn’t be acting this way! I shouldn’t! I don’t need a mate, and I definitely do not need a goddamn stripper,

"Is this about your mate, Alpha?" Daniel questioned and I almost lost every ounce of control inside of me,

"If you don’t fucking shut the hell up, I’ll rip out your tongue and feed..."

"Mate? Did I just hear mate? You found your mate?" The old man’s voice interjected me and I growled at Daniel before averting my gaze toward him,

"No...." I responded sharply and began to walk away while Daniel trailed behind me, but shockingly, he stopped Daniel,

"Daniel, stop!"

Taking a deep breath out, I curled my hands into fists and shut my eyes without turning around to face them,

"Tell me the truth, did my son find his mate or not." He commanded and I knew this was it. There was no way Daniel could lie to the old man, he was the Alpha king and lying meant treason. If only this old man would just die once and for all,

"Yes. Alpha Dexter found his fated mate." Daniel admitted and I immediately turned around to face him,

"And it’s none of your business if I found my mate or not," I uttered, "It would be none of my business if you do the right thing, Dexter. Bring your mate to the mansion before this week runs out else I’ll be forced to choose a beta from the pack and make him the next Alpha king after me. It’s bad enough that you have no heir, but the pack members are all beginning to doubt your potency and the strength of the pack without an heir."

I tucked my hand into my pocket and was about to walk away when he continued,

"You’re well aware of what happens when you reject your fated mate, Dexter. The pack would be struck with tragedy by the moon goddess, and you’ll be forced to strip yourself of your royal title as the next Alpha king, so do what’s right for yourself and for the pack."

Ignoring him, I turned and walked out of the living room, heading towards the car,

"You know he’s right, Alpha." Daniel reminded me, but I growled at him.

"He didn’t mention the part about you losing half of your strength as the Alpha of the greatest pack once you reject your fated mate. If that happens, Jason would see it as an opportunity to take over and become the next Alpha king."

I halted in my tracks for a second but continued walking afterward. As soon as I got into the car, I tucked my hand into my pocket and brought out my phone.

"Where to, Alpha."

"To the club," I instructed as it took every damn thing inside of me to utter this. I was more than furious that there were more than enough consequences attached to not getting my mate so I had to find her,

A few hours later, the car halted and I stepped out of the car without waiting for Daniel.

I got into the bar and was immediately welcomed by a man,

"Alpha Dexter, it’s so good to see you again. To what do I owe this visit once again?"

"I need somewhere we can talk privately," I responded, simply ignoring his kind gesture,

"Please come with me, this way."

I took my seat on a black armchair, and began because going straight to the point was what I had in mind,

"Where’s the stripper who entertained me two nights ago?" I questioned.

"You mean Bella? She quit Alpha. Maybe she could be somewhere really far away by now." He uttered and I widened my eyes in shock and anger,

"What?"

"I’m sorry we’re unable to provide her at the moment, but there are others...’ I sped towards him and grabbed his neck, slamming his body against the wall so quickly that my eyes turned red,

"Where the fucking hell can I find her?"

I yelled at him, but as he struggled for air, he answered,

"I have no idea. I know nothing about the lady, Alpha, but there’s something you might want to know. Something that could help you find her."

As fast as I could, I let him go,

"Start talking," I commanded

With his hands still around his neck, he took a few steps backward until he was resting on the long table in the office,

"Her real name is Amelia Ross and not Bella, that’s all I know. She wouldn’t tell me about her life. Nothing at all, I swear to you Alpha, that’s all I know."

I sneered angrily at him, turning my head around to look at my beta,

"Now listen to me, from today, this club will be mine for a hundred million dollars. I’m not asking for permission to buy it from you, I’m taking it already. Every other thing will be settled with the rest of the joint owners."

"100 mi...million dollars?" The man stammered but I ignored the look he had on his face and turned to my beta,

"Here’s the cheque. You can confirm if you need to." Daniel uttered and handed the greedy bastard the cheque. I really couldn’t believe I was spending this much simply because of a mate.

"One more thing." I began moving closer to him as I continued,

"Get the fucking hell out of this pack to someplace far away because the day I find or even catch a whiff of your scent, you’re going to be lying dead in a fucking pit with a hole in your chest."

I watched as he flinched almost rolling over to the other side of the table, and then I turned around,

"Let’s get the hell out of here," I muttered to my Beta and began to walk away. As I got out of the club, I wrecked my fingers into my hair in annoyance,

"I have no idea who this fucking woman is and she’s already pissing the hell out of me. Spending this much just to cover up her tracks is fucking insane." I yelled as I got to the car and turned around to face Daniel,

"You heard the man, find this Amelia Ross, and you have until tonight to find her else don’t you fucking come back to the pack," I instructed and got into the car. Without sparing my Beta another glance, I ignited the engine and sped out of the premises immediately.

Damn, I knew one thing, she would pay real bad, and there were many ways for her to do that.
