The Billionaire's Forbidden Longing

Chapter 107 Henry

Alexander chuckled, giving Allison a playful look. "Honestly, my money is your money!"

Allison shook her head, clearly not agreeing.

Alexander continued, "Buying this company isn't just about the money. Remember how you started that game development department at the Bennett Group? This company in Aquilonia is all about game competitions. It's a perfect match for both businesses!"

Right now, Allison was just attending someone else's game event, but next time, she could be running her own. From a business angle, buying this company made total sense.

But compared to Alexander, the seasoned businessman, Allison still had a lot to learn.

Alexander then asked, "So, what are you gonna do about the guys who kidnapped you?"

Carl had asked her the same thing. Allison shook her head. "I'm not planning anything. Mr. Eaton is a nutcase. If you cross him, he won't let it go! I'm not scared of what he might do to me. I've got plenty of dirt on him. If I leak even a bit, he's finished!"

Allison didn't want to waste time fighting with the scummy Howard. If she didn't like him, she'd just crush him.

But Howard wasn't going to take that lying down. He'd lost five missiles and got kicked out of Imperial City, literally thrown into the sea. He was itching to tear Allison apart. Soon, Allison and her crew were back in Skycrest. They kept quiet about everything, but Declan and Landon still rushed to the hospital, shocked to see Alexander's condition.

"Alexander, I thought only teenagers got lovesick. How did you get so wrapped up in this? Are you nuts?" Declan was so mad he could barely hold back.

But Alexander, lying in the hospital bed, stayed calm.

Landon sighed and pulled Declan aside. "Enough! When Allison gets here, watch your mouth!"

Declan grumbled, glaring at Landon.

When Allison walked in, she was in a white coat. She personally changed Alexander's bandages. The heat in Imperial City had made his wounds worse. Because of this, Allison hadn't slept for a whole day and night, which made Alexander feel really bad. "I'm okay. Don't push yourself so hard. Go home and rest, then come back!"

But Allison shook her head. "No need. I'll rest in a friend's office later. I don't trust anyone else to take care of you!"

Hearing this, Alexander felt really touched.

But the moment was soon interrupted.

"Allison, hurry, we need you for a surgery!" a young man called out.

As soon as Alexander saw the man enter, his face darkened.

He was Henry Phillips, a young doctor at Evergreen Hospital Skycrest. He was well-known in Skycrest, and it turned out he knew Allison.

Henry was also surprised. "Alexander, Declan, Landon, what are you guys doing here? Alexander, are you hurt?" His eyes had been only on Allison, but now he finally noticed the others.

"My injury stays between us," Alexander warned coldly.

Henry nodded and looked back at Allison. "Allison, is he your patient? Weren't you supposed to be at some esports competition? How did you end up with Alexander?"

But having ties with Alexander? That was beyond his wildest dreams.

Declan, watching from the sidelines, smirked, "Henry, Ms. Bennett isn't just Alexander's doctor; she's also his fiancée. She'll soon be Mrs. Carter!"

Declan's words made Allison blush. Being called Alexander's fiancée in front of everyone made her feel a bit embarrassed.

Plus, the whole fiancée thing hadn't been officially discussed between them, making it even more awkward. So Allison quickly found an excuse to leave.

Henry was still in shock, trying to process the news. "Alexander, is this for real?"

Alexander nodded, looking serious. "It hasn't been officially announced yet. Allison is still a student! So, how did you meet her?"

This question was easy to answer.

"We're both students under the same teacher. Our teacher only took on three students that year: me, Allison, and one other person. But Alexander, she's only eighteen. Isn't this a bit much?" Henry looked at him with some disapproval, which annoyed Alexander.

"Henry, you've got some nerve criticizing Alexander. Come on, let me teach you some manners!" Declan pulled Henry away, while Landon sat on the sofa, laughing.

"Alexander, I've been meaning to say this. Allison is only eighteen. You really are a scoundrel!" Before Alexander could shoot him a murderous look, Landon quickly slipped away.

The more Alexander thought about it, the angrier he got. He decided to call the Phillips family. "Lark, I'd like to invite you to dinner next week. I've got a new girlfriend, and I'd like you to meet her!"

Henry's mother, Lark, was a close friend of Alexander's mother and a university professor. Alexander often went to the Phillips Villa for tutoring as a kid and treated Henry like a younger brother.

But who would've thought Henry would turn out to be so ungrateful?

"Really, Alexander? You have a girlfriend? That's wonderful! Unlike poor Henry, who, despite being quite handsome, is still single." Lark rambled on for a while. Alexander patiently listened, and before hanging up, Lark had already arranged a blind date for Henry.

Alexander was very satisfied, and his earlier annoyance faded. But before he could enjoy his peace for long, the door to his hospital room was kicked open.

"Alexander, you jerk!" That loud voice could only belong to Liliana.

Alexander looked awkwardly at her as she barged in, not expecting Liliana to be followed by his brother, Griffin.

He then called out, "Liliana, Griffin!"

"Alexander, how's your injury?" Griffin asked, concerned.

"It's fine now. Allison did the surgery. I'll be better in a few days!" Alexander replied.

Griffin had initially been quite pleased with Allison, despite her young age. She had excellent academic performance and was the head of the Bennett Group, making her a good match for his brother.

But seeing Alexander in this state, he began to have second thoughts about Allison. "I think Allison is trouble. You should reconsider. Dad cares about you the most. If he knew you were this badly injured, he'd be worried sick."
