Then, he gazed at the sky and frowned slightly. "It's going to rain soon." Ronald was walking behind Charles and did not know what to say in response to Charles' last sentence, which had come out of seemingly left field."

Charles, on the other hand, opened the door and got in. Then, he gazed at Ronald, who was still standing rooted at the spot. "Aren't you going to get in?" "Yes, sir!"

Ronald immediately got into the driver's seat. "Where are we going now, Mr. Hoffman? The office?"

"Yes!" Charles responded before he took his phone out and caught sight of the numerous texts he had received. They were all from Noelle, asking him how things were going and reminding him to keep warm because it was cold out. The last message had come in just minutes ago, telling him that it would probably start raining soon because of how gloomy the sky had turned, and told him to keep out of the rain so he wouldn't catch a cold.

A smile blossomed on Charles' face, replacing the gloomy one that had initially been on it. He reached an elegant finger out to tap the screen gently, a hint of softness amidst his frosty angles.

When Ronald, seated in the passenger's seat, glanced over and saw the look on Charles' face, he thought he was seeing things.

Charles narrowed his eyes and looked up to sweep his gaze across Ronald, who immediately swiveled his head the other way and sat up straight without allowing his gaze to wander. Charles huffed. "Let's not go to the office. Let's go to Jubilee Hub instead." Then, he put his phone away and closed his eyes to get some rest. Jubilee Hub?

Ronald was stunned. He was finding it increasingly difficult to understand what Charles was thinking recently.

Jubilee Hub was one of the

shopping complexes under the

Collosus Group name, but it housed

the more luxurious brands, and

ovel

many local brands did not have outlet there. Only extremely

well-known local brands or completely independent brands

would be given special

consideration to establish a

presence there.

Charles rarely went to Jubilee Hub, but he made an exception today. Ronald took advantage of Charles's quick nap to glance at him once again.

After about a half hour, the black-colored Bentley stopped at Jubilee Hub's underground parking lot. Ronald was just about to wake Charles up when he saw Charles opening his eyes and sweeping his stern gaze across him. Ronald immediately shuddered. "Mr. Hoffman, we've arrived!"

"Alright!" Charles nodded as he got out of the car.

Ronald walked behind Charles and finally understood what was going on when he saw Charles walk into J&K.

"Mr. Hoffman!" The attendant at J&K was named Janice. She was the brand's sole founder and the only jewelry designer Charles had broken the rules for and allowed to establish a presence within Jubilee Hub.

"Long time no see, Janice!" Charles

said as he shook Janice's hand

before gazing around the shop. Janice walked behind Charles and glanced at Ronald, the look in her eyes asking him what Charles was here for that day.

Though Charles was a big fan of Janice's designs, he had never dropped by for a personal visit. Moreover, his behavior made it look like he was searching for something.

Since she could not get a message from Ronald, Janice approached Charles, smiling as she asked, "Mr. Hoffman, what are you searching for?"

"A ring! A wedding ring!"
