The Fortune-Telling Heiress

Chapter 291

Chapter 291

"Have you forgotten that if Becky's biological mother hadn't swapped the two kids at birth, Maddie wouldn't have been left alone for decades! Is this how you treat her after bringing her back?"

William frowned. "Harvey, the child switch has nothing to do with Becky. You can't blame her for it."

"Exactly. Becky is innocent too."

"Harvey, saying this hurts Becky's feelings."

Tanya was about to speak when she saw Harvey shake his head, suppressing his anger as he replied, "After everything I've said, you all think I'm just blaming Becky? What about Madison? Isn't she innocent? What did she do to deserve being despised by her parents and humiliated by her brothers?

"Do you realize how many people online are mocking her? Do you know what they're saying about her?"

Harvey's eyes reddened. Just seeing those disgusting comments made his heart ache. He couldn't imagine what Madison felt when she faced all of this alone.

"Mom and Dad, if you don't want her as your daughter..." Harvey paused, his voice dropping to a somber tone. "Just let her go!"

After saying this, Harvey walked away, leaving them exchanging glances.

A soft sob broke the silence.

Jason hurried to comfort Rebecca. "Becky, why are you crying?"

Rebecca leaned on his shoulder. "It's all my fault. It's all my fault..."

"How could it be your fault? The one at fault is Madison. Anyone can see that it's Madison who's in the wrong here." Jason gently patted her back. "But what Harvey said..." she started crying.

"Harvey is biased and blames us! Ever since Madison came back, Harvey has changed. He used to treat you so well!" Jason felt disgruntled.

None of this would have happened if it weren't for Madison.

Becky's birthday party would have gone smoothly if there were no Madison!

Harvey wouldn't be fighting with them if there were no Madison!

Tanya frowned, looking at the night sky outside. She sighed softly. "You all clean up and get some rest early."

"Mom, what about you?" Ethan asked.

Tanya replied softly, "Madison is injured, and Harvey is hurt too. I'm going to the hospital to check on them."

"Mom!" Rebecca looked up at Tanya, her eyes filled with tears. "I'm scared!"

Seeing Rebecca's tears, Tanya's heart softened. She rushed over and hugged her. "There, there, I'm here with you. I'll stay with you tonight; don't be afraid! With me around, there's nothing to fear." Harvey arrived at the hospital, his face full of anger.

He saw Serena coming out of the ward and anxiously asked, "How's Maddie? What happened?"

"She has an injury on her arm and many bruises all over her body. There's also some glue on her skin, which is difficult to clean up," Serena said, frowning at the wound on his forehead. "Let me take you to get your wound dressed first." Harvey nodded.

After he finished dressing his wound, he sat down on a chair in the corridor.

Serena poured him a glass of water and sat beside him.

After a moment of silence, she said, "Before, you mentioned that Rebecca unilaterally changed our meeting place, and I didn't believe it at all."

Harvey gave a bitter smile.

"But now... I believe you."

Serena looked at Harvey, brushing her fingers against the bandage on his forehead. "I believe you now."

Harvey felt a pang in his heart.

He reached out and embraced Serena, resting his chin on her shoulder. "Yeah! You have to trust me. I wouldn't deceive anyone, especially not Chapter 291

you."
