Chapter 24
Zion left her in the room to quickly change. Moon Goddess what was he doing.
Speaking to Vivienne Reviere made him realize something. She was risking a lot. She had in spite of his situation looked passed it all and still wanted to be with him. And he had treated her horribly. He could have went about it better but he had been just so furious about it all plus the Lycans hadn't left the best impression on him. Yet she calmly withstood it all like it was nothing. He had expected her to lash out, force herself on him and give up. He had planned all the ways he would reject her so she could finally get it but she didn't push it. Her calmness had been unnerving to him this past week. He didn't have to accept her but he didn't have to make her suffer. Beta Daniel was going to lap this up.
She finally came out wearing his black t shirt with the tights with her cheeks bright red from their little moment. Did she not have any clothes? He remembered the back pack she brought. She definitely needed clothes especially warmer ones. He was starting to feel slightly guilty because the time was getting colder. He had to admit he hadn't been the best host.
"I'll get Samuel to take you to buy some clothes" he told her gruffly as they headed to his office.
"Why can't you take me?" she looked at him curiously.
"Because I'm in a wheelchair."
"Samuel says you can drive."
The over sized snitch. For someone who doesn't talk much he sure doesn't keep much to himself.
"Fine. I'll wait downstairs for you" he grunted out.
It didn't take that long for her to meet him donwnstairs. He wanted to ask her if she was leaving but decided not to. That combined with the moment they had might give her the wrong impression.
"Did Vivienne say anything to you?" she asked cautiously as they headed towards the main entrance.
"Is there something in particular she should have said?" he counteracted.
"No"
She was lying, which is weird for someone who is so straight forward.
"Why aren't you snapping and snarling at me?"
Oh so she got jokes.
"I don't snap and snarl" he told her pointedly.
She ran her finger tips over his hair and he abruptly stopped at the door before they exited.
"Anastasia, what happened in the room doesn't change anything." he held her eyes and she shook her head.
"Okay" she responded and pulled her hand back. They silently headed to the garage and Zion put some distance between them.
Kiarra did a double take when she saw the large expensive glossy black truck. Whoa. They were soon in and pulling out. Visit FindNovel-.com to read the complete chapters for free. The truck came with modifications so that instead of foot pedals it had a hand break and accelerator. She found it cool. Inside was designed with beautiful leather, all black and the seats plush.
Sitting down beside him, he was extremely taller than her and she wasn't short. She wondered how tall he was exactly. They reached the exit and men ran to open the gate when they saw it was their Alpha and soon they were cruising to the mall. It felt good sitting beside him in his truck.
"What's it like being at the Lycan palace?" his deep voice filled the truck. He glanced at her and a shiver ran through her. Pay attention Kiarra.
"It's impressive"
She didn't know how else to put it without giving too much away.
"Are you going to take me on a date?"
He looked over at her and focused back on the road.
"I don't do dates."
"Then what do you do?"
He'd fuck them and call it a night but he couldn't tell her that. She was staring at him waiting for a response so he changed the subject.
"Is there a boyfriend or someone waiting for you in England Anastasia?"
"No"
He internally breathed a sigh of relief. He was dying to ask the question. He felt like a whole load had been lifted off of him not that it should matter Zion.
Kiarra couldn't help staring at him. His side profile was beautiful. From the light sandy blonde hair with some standing up at the top to the light beard down to the bulging muscles in the black t-shirt. He was really handsome. She looked at his hand resting on the partition and she could remember the feel of his fingers going up her thigh. She wondered what would have happened if they didn't stop. Maybe she would feel those fingers sliding inside of her.
"What?" his brows pulled up and he glanced at her as they pulled up to the mall. He flipped his hand over confused. What was she over there thinking about?
"Nothing" she smiled shyly and her cheeks started to heat up.
"Don't tell me now you're shy."
Zion found it surprising that she was being shy because she was for the most part so bold. Kiarra just focused outside the window looking at the expansive building before them.
The mall was huge at the edge of the town and looked like it had almost everything. Zion did not want to go shopping. There was a reason he had dozens of black t-shirts and jeans. Shopping was exhausting and not something he remotely enjoyed. "I'll wait for you" he took his card out of his wallet, handing it to her.
"You aren't coming?"
Kiarra couldn't believe he wasn't coming.
"No. I brought you to the mall. I never said I was going shopping with you"
"I can pay for my own things." she said independently.
"I can tell." he said sarcastically.
She took his card and pouted.
"I'd be alone and I don't really know the mall" she feigned like she was doing the most difficult thing in the world.
A guy passing by the truck to his car did a double take when he saw her. Zion was definitely going in.
"Okay let's go" he grumbled.
