The Princess’s Broken Alpha

Chapter 81

It was late afternoon before he woke up. He had jumped out of his sleep startled only to relax when he saw that she was still there. He still couldn't believe it. He felt like he hadn't slept in forever. He was more than content to have her in his arms sleeping, feeling her small rhythmic breaths going up and down against him. As if feeling he was awake she snuggled deeper into him pushing her head further into the crook of his neck. Her hair tickled his face and Zion gently smelled her hair not wanting to wake her. It was futile because he knew the second she'd woken up as when he looked down her sleepy eyes were watching him.

"I missed this."

"Yeah."she whispered back sleepily.

Kiarra smiled broadly at him as he ran his hand along her face brushing her hair back.

"Kiarra"

"Mhmm"

"We aren't ever doing this again"

She knew he was talking about the separation and everything that had happened between them.

"Okay." she agreed, enjoying the feel of his fingers in her hair.

She shifted her leg and felt his hardness against her stomach and all the sleepiness she had felt vanished. She looked down at the huge bulge between them to stare back at him.

"We can have sex after we mark each other and I turn you into a Lycan."

"You don't want to wait for your ceremony?"

"No." she said adamantly and he stifled a laugh. He continued to run his fingers through her hair. " It takes three days for a regular werewolf to change into a Lycan. So I was thinking as soon as we head back I will mark you and then after three days we can do it." Zion raised his eyebrows.

"Wow, you've thought through a full proof plan of how to get your ass tapped."

Her mouth opened in indignation and he could see the slightest shade of pink forming on her cheeks.

"That's not true." Kiarra lied and Zion shook his head.

"Yes it is, Miss hot and ready with a full proof plan"

Her cheeks were a brighter shade of pink and he laughed out loud at her.

"I'm not hot and ready"

Except she was hot and ready, very ready.

"I'm lucky you didn't take advantage of me in my sleep."

"You're insufferable." Kiarra rested her head against his chest hearing his deep laughter and couldn't help but join him. Her stomach suddenly rumbled in protest.

"We need to go eat" she said propping herself on her elbows.

"I'm not even embarrassed to say that I do not know if we even have any food in here. If anything, we can order out."

That's why he looked thinner. He'd obviously not been eating. Kiarra pulled herself up to kiss him and as their lips touched the door burst open. Samuel's eyes went wide with shock when he saw her. He quickly exited, backtracking on his heels to give them their privacy but not before giving Zion the fist of approval They both laughed and decided to get out of bed so they could start their day.

She needed to call Indigo which she made sure she did right away as the day was rolling by pretty fast.

Indigo promised to head over straight away and the three of them spent the time eating and catching up as they waited for her. Samuel grumbled the entire time that he knew she was powerful but not extremely powerful until she made him fall to his knees. His manly ego was still trying to recover and wrap around it. They also made sure to get themselves ready and pack to leave in the next couple of hours to head home.

There was a knock on the door and Kiarra unwound Zion's hands from around her waist to go open the door. Indigo had come with Kyor and she was glad to see she now had him as a constant in her life.

She was dressed in a long black dress and her yellow eyes took in the place. A trait Kiarra guessed from not trusting people too much no matter what. Kyor on the other hand was dressed in a shockingly green sweater to match his dyed hair tips.

The moment Inidgo stepped into the living area where Zion was she felt it and she stopped dead in her tracks wide-eyed. She turned to Kyor immediately wondering if he felt it too.

"Do you feel that?!" she shouted.

"Yeah" Kyor placed a hand up against the wall to steady himself. He wasn't as strong as Indigo was to withstand it.

Zion exchanged glances with Samuel. He wasn't much of a believer, but he was doing this for Kiarra.

"What is it?" Kiarra asked.

"He's giving off a lot of energy or rather power." she said, unbelievably trying to fathom how.

Kiarra knew Zion was skeptical but she believed Indigo. She had proved to be good and even trustworthy. Plus, Kiarra felt she was a good judge of character when it came to people for the most part. She just wanted to know Zion was fine. "Why?"

That was the question on everyone's mind. Why was he giving off power? Indigo walked towards Zion and she looked unsure back to Kiarra for confirmation.

"I would like to use my powers to try and find out. I'm not doing anything else and he won't be harmed or anything." Indigo said cautiously.

She knew people were skeptical when it came to their powers and it was best to advise them before they did anything.

Zion nodded giving her the go ahead just wanting this to be over with quite frankly.

The lights flickered and Inidgo's eyes glowed a bright yellow before fading out and soon she was returned back to normal. Kiarra looked at her questioningly and Indigo placed her hands on her hips excitedly, her yellow eyes shining bright. "It makes sense."

Indigo realized everyone was waiting for her and she spoke up.

"You have a energy rather a power in you. It's unlike anything I've ever seen, it's remarkable. From what I can gather it's ancient almost like the passing down of certain genes, the colour of your eyes, the shape of your nose. It's like a chosen thing. I don't know if I'm making any sense but this is exceptional."

Indigo was full on pacing and firing off like she was losing it. She couldn't believe it.

"The reason you aren't able to walk is because your body cannot withstand the power." Indigo pointed to his wheelchair. "I'm guessing you lost your legs when it started to fully manifest."

"Is this power something we should be concerned about?" Samuel cut in.

"No, I don't think so. It's basically his", Indigo remarked.

"What we're trying to find out is if he will be harmed in anyway as time progresses?" Kiarra put in simpler terms.

"As far as I can see your grace, he seems to be managing it fine."

" He passed out for four days."

Indigo's eyes went wide with alarm and she looked back at Kyor who whistled.

"I couldn't say if he'll be fine or not. I don't know. Maybe it's the mate bond that is affecting it, I don't know. This isn't something I've ever seen."

There was nothing more Indigo could do for them or any other witch for that matter. They all thanked them for coming and Indigo had to drag Kyor out of there to stop staring at Alpha Zion so hard before the princess killed him for her mate.

"Dont push me" Kyor grumbled as Indigo forced him towards the door. " I'm just saying you could have made up some spell testing excuse for him to take his shirt off. You owe me."

"Are you trying to get us killed?" Indigo shoved him hard through the door.

"I'm just saying he is fine fine."

Samuel rolled his eyes and closed the door to face Kiarra and Zion.

"I don't buy it but for the most part it sounds like I'll be fine." Zion remarked.

Kiarra chewed on her lower lip absentmidedly. She didn't seem so worried and that was all he was glad for. They headed for the airport as they silently pondered a bit on what Inidgo said. In no time, they were soon soaring through the sky and Kiarra was curled up on his lap with a blanket thrown over her. Zion remembered something he needed to tell her before they arrived. "My parents are waiting for us when we arrive."

"They're back?"

"Yeah, they came for Christmas. And because Samuel and I weren't there Daniel told them vaguely why we were gone. They have annoyingly insisted on staying until we came back."

"Okay."

"My mother can be a little over bearing and extra. I know you wanted some alone time so if you don't feel like facing her and everyone I could let them know. I don't want to overwhelm you."

"No no no, I want to meet them." Kiarra quickly cut in. It was sweet that he was thinking of her beforehand.

"Okay", he kissed her hair and watched the dark skyline through the window with her.
