They were Kane's men? Felix slapped the burly man, sending him straight to the ground.

"The rest of you, clean this place up quietly. Otherwise, don't expect to leave here unharmed."

There was no way they were actually Kane's men-his men would have recognized Felix. If they were indeed Kane's men, they would be fools.

Felix's smack didn't seem all that frightening, but how he broke the bat was so intimidating that the remaining men quickly started cleaning up the place.

A few moments later, they stood in the garden, none daring to meet Felix's gaze.

""Who sent you?"

At that moment, a car abruptly pulled up at the gate, and a few armed men got out.

"There's been a report of an assault here. Everyone, stay where you are, and don't move!"

As if their saviors had arrived, the thugs all pointed at Felix.

""It was him!"

"That's right! He attacked us for no reason. We don't even know if our friend is dead or alive."

The guns were quickly pointed at Felix. The leader then made a hand signal without saying a word.

"We're taking you in for questioning. If you resist, we have the right to shoot you on the spot!"

Felix frowned as if something had clicked in his mind. The thugs causing trouble were just a cover. The Phoenix Legion, who had just arrived, were the real issue.

Was Xena trying to deal with him? That didn't seem likely. Xena had too much pride; if she wanted to make a move, she'd do it openly and not resort to such underhanded tactics.

And just like that, Felix was taken away, unaware that Ernest, standing in the courtyard of the nearby villa, had witnessed everything.

"Mr. Holt Senior, do you plan to intervene?"

Upon hearing Jairo's words, Ernest snorted coldly.

"Hmph! To think there are such disgraceful scoundrels within the Phoenix Legion-what a stain on their honor."

Those people had trespassed on Felix's property and tried to attack him, yet the one defending himself was the one being taken away? How absurd! "Should we give Xena a call?"

Ernest waved his hand dismissively. "No need. Get the car. I recall that Brad is in the Phoenix Legion. It's time to visit my old friend's grandson." +25 BONUS

Jairo could tell that Ernest was truly angry this time. If Xena could not handle this situation well, she'd be in serious trouble.

Though Ernest was retired, his influence remained. Many of his former subordinates now held high-ranking positions in the military, making his reach clear.

After some time had passed, Belle received a call from Joshua at the Phoenix Legion base. "Your plan worked far better than anything I could have done, Ms. Frost."

It was Belle who had instructed him to send the thugs to harass Felix, knowing full well that Felix was a martial artist. What would happen next was practically inevitable. "I'm not fond of Felix as well. By the way, how badly hurt are your men? Is the report out yet?"

Joshua might have been smiling, but his voice was heavy with sorrow.

"Felix was ruthless. The guy that got hit by just one slap died on the spot. He didn't even make it to the hospital."

What? The guy died? Belle was shocked. Although she disliked Felix, she didn't think he was the kind of person who would brazenly do something so reckless.

Any martial artist would be fully aware of their own strength. Would they really use their full power just to teach someone a lesson?
