Chapter Billionaire With Husband 67
Chapter 67
Xena had actually ordered Felix to stay away from his villa for a whole week. Who was she joking? Why did he have to get her permission to stay in his own house? She was abusing her power, wasn't she?
Seemingly expecting Felix to react like this, Belle said frostily, "Look closely, Felix! This is a military order. If you refuse to comply, we can arrest you and lock you up for a week-your villa will still end up empty. The choice is yours."
Felix looked at the regulatory permit. He couldn't deny that Xena had indeed signed the permit in her capacity as a goddess of war. It was also stamped with the Phoenix Legion's official stamp. If he were to go against them, he wouldn't even be able to lodge a complaint. "Fine, then. I'll do as you say." Felix left, feeling a little mad at himself.
Why did he have to get mad at a woman? He could've just agreed to do as Xena ordered and secretly returned if he wanted. No one would notice him, let alone stop him.
He figured that his villa wasn't the only one Xena was taking control of. For all he knew, she was using the whole of Tabiner Bay for whatever she was planning. He could sense there were many people in the area. He didn't care what she was up to, though. Belle never would've expected that Felix had reappeared in his bedroom at his villa after disappearing from her sight. He just didn't bother turning on the lights. She called Xena and said, "He's agreed to leave, milady."
This was within Xena's expectations-she hadn't expected Felix to put up a fight. She could look past him acting obnoxiously around her when it came to menial matters, but what could he do when she oppressed him in her capacity as a goddess of war? It was also a good opportunity to show him what true power was like. She said, "If that's the case, have the secret forces retreat."
Belle didn't understand this. "But why?"
"Chain Asura is the one coming this time. He called me, and we discussed matters over the phone. Having other people around will make it easy for Inferno to figure out something's wrong. Thus, they'll just be unnecessary casualties.
"He and I are the only ones who'll need to lie in wait," Xena said.

Belle couldn't deny that. Inferno was scarier than Nocturno and so powerful that even the headquarters didn't have a proper report on him. The secret forces didn't stand a chance against him.
Her order for the secret forces to retreat made things much easier for Felix. At least he could stand before the window now.
...
Meanwhile, Ted stood in a VIP hospital room at one of Avesburgh's hospitals. He faced a burly middle-aged man, his expression respectful.
"I didn't expect Felix to know Sasha Quinton, Mr. Barton. I'm really sorry that he had to butt in at that moment," he said.
The middle-aged man was Saul's father, codenamed Ironhulk. Anyone who ran in the underground circles had heard of him, and they feared him more than they did Kane.
Ironhulk didn't dare offend Kane, either, but at least Kane was reasonable sometimes. Ironhulk was nothing but a heartless murderer.
"Humph! You would've lost both your legs by now if not for your father's sake, Ted!" Ironhulk had spent too many years in the underground circles to take Ted's word for it.
He knew what exactly had happened but chose not to do anything to Ted because the latter was related to Xena. He would only go to such extremes if Saul had lost his life in the process.
Ted didn't dare say anything else, knowing he would only slip up if he were to say more. He slowly lowered his head.
"Go. I don't care why Felix Zeller did it, but the fact that he's made Saul end up in the hospital is enough to sentence him to death," Ironhulk snarled.
As expected, Ironhulk was still as cruel and domineering as always. It didn't matter what methods he employed-the end result was that Felix would die. He would have to endure inhumane torment before his death, which was more than enough to make up for the pain Ted had gone through with his arm.
