Then, Darryl brought Avalon to the most famous breakfast spot.

"Boss!" Darryl took his seat and said, "I'd like to have two of your most famous dishes!"

"Right away!" The boss answered, and quickly, he served two servings of breakfast.

Avalon could not wait any longer. She took the bun and ate it. Her mouth was smeared with grease because she did not care about her appearance as a lady while she ate. Darryl chuckled and looked at her. "Slow down. Nobody will steal your food."

Avalon nodded and mumbled, "The last time I had a bun was half a year ago. I've forgotten what buns taste like. It smells so good!"

Darryl smiled as he heard that, but deep down, he felt terrible.

'Such a young kid, and she's already been through so much hardship.'

He wanted to comfort her. Suddenly, there was a commotion nearby. Dozens of men in black, each holding a portrait in their hands, were searching along the road. Looking at the situation, many frantically stood aside and made way for the men in black.

'Huh?'

Darryl saw the portraits held by the men in black, and the person in the portraits looked like him. Evidently, those were the subordinates of the Gregorys' eldest daughter. They were there to search for him. Darryl remained calm and sat still after realizing that.

A few men in black approached him quickly. They were taken aback when they saw Darryl. They became even more concerned after comparing his face to the portrait.

"It's him!"

"We've finally found you."

Out of excitement, the men in black summoned their colleagues and surrounded Darryl.

The leader of the men in black then took a hard look at Darryl. "You were the one who bothered Miss Ciara, right? You are so bold!"

Those men in black had searched Valencia City since the previous night. They were exhausted from suppressing their rage. Finally, when they found Darryl, they exploded in rage and treated him rudely. Darryl breathed a sigh of relief and said slowly, "I troubled Miss Ciara? Did you make a mistake? I saved her life last night."

The leader of the men in black was taken aback for a moment when he noticed Darryl remaining calm.

'This man is quite audacious. He keeps calm even when he's under pressure...'

The surrounding customers hid afar, and they gossipped about Darryl.

"I heard that the Gregorys have been looking for someone since last night. It turns out it's him."

"That man must have done something bad for the Gregorys to deploy such a huge troop to search for him."

"Based on his attire, he doesn't look like he's from a great background. I'm afraid he's now in deep trouble for offending the Gregorys."

The people discussed that among themselves, and they did not feel optimistic about what would happen to Darryl. After all, the Gregorys were invincible in Valencia City.

Finally, the leader of the men in

black collected his thoughts. He did

not want to waste his breath and

said, "Young man, Ill cut the crap. You should know what the consequences are for offending Miss Ciara. Follow us!"

His voice was stern, and he was irrefutable.

Darryl stood still. "What if I refused to leave?"

Immediately, Avalon also pouted. "Yes! Why should we follow you?" Though she was young, she had been wandering in the community, and she had experienced various kinds of situations. Therefore, she was not nervous at all.

The leader in black sneered. "You're quite a tough nut."

As the leader spoke, he sized Darryl up. Then, he looked at Avalon and said, "Young man, I know you're powerful. Should you attack us, we might not be able to catch you. But, you have that girl with you.

"Can you guarantee her safety when we start fighting later?"

Darryl was startled when he heard that, and he secretly pondered.

'That's true. I have yet to restore my power fully. If we started fighting, I would not be afraid of the men in black. But I won't be able to guarantee Avalon's safety.' Darryl slowly stood up and said to Avalon, "Are you done eating?"

Avalon wiped her mouth. "Yes, I'm done."

Darryl nodded. "If you're done, let's pay the Gregorys a visit."
