ACUPUNCTURE TREATMENT

"That's professional differences, my friend. If I dare venture into the medical field I will fail the same way you will fall with your butt in the business world, " Damon replied to Jordan's jibes and wave to sit down. "You must tell me your secret of success or not I will not treat your lover," Jordan said.

"You're fucking mad and you need medical attention urgently. How could that old patient of yours be my lover?" Damon replied.

As both friends are throwing jibes at themselves, the manager knocked at the door and came in.

"Sir would you love to be served now," the manager asked with a professional smile on his face. "Sure"

"Right away sir" he replied and left.

Not up to two minutes, five chefs walked in each holding a bowl in his hand.

The manager signaled them to proceed and set the dishes before they all left.

"Hey you, don't tell me you will be standing over there like a sculpture" Jordan was referring to Alan.

Immediately Alan heard what was said by Jordan, he bowed down and turn to also leave when suddenly he heard Jordan's voice again.

"I don't mean you should go away, I meant to come and seat down and have your launch also. You have not taken anything since morning right?" Jordan smiled at him. Alan was conflicted not daring to move forward.

"Are you expecting me to come over and pick you to a seat?" Damon asked sarcastically.

Alan's expression was relieved knowing his boss is not mad at him for switching his cell phone off again.

Immediately the bowls were opened and Jordan saw the contents inside, he was astonished and said, "hey buddy, you still remembered my favorite dishes"

"Do you think I'm as stupid as you? I will never forget that" Damon replied.

They served themselves the dishes on the table.

"Hey, why is my mother-in-law not responding to treatment?" Damon asked.

Jordan just glanced at him without replying to his question.

Damon was so surprised by his action and said, "sure old habits never die."

After about twenty minutes, the table was cleared and a bottle of red wine was brought for them.

"The reason why your lover is not responding to treatment is due to stress and anxiety," Jordan replied to the question he was asked earlier.

"You idiot, I told you she's my future mother-in-law" Damon jumped in to defend his dignity.

"As I was saying, my observations show that she's not having adequate rest and she's always been anxious about something. If you care for that patient, don't allow her to ever go back struggling again" Jordan said but his face was looking very painful. "Buddy talk to me what do you find out?" Damon asked.

Jordan was conflicted for some minutes before he said, "her palms and feet are clotted with blood because of constant washing and standing. You might have known she's a washerwoman right."

Damon was quiet for some time before he asked, "so to say buddy, can you treat her or not?."

"Do you think I flew to this shit hole just to see your ugly face? I would be performing acupuncture on her" Jordan smiled and replied.

They left the restaurant about two hours after their launch and headed their separate ways.

Alan drove Jordan to the Emerald intercontinental hotel where he was lodged in the presidential suite.

The director of the neurological department along with his team was listening to Jordan's seminar in the VIPS ward.

"Acupuncture's needle is all about precision and one must find the precise acupoint and guide the needles to the point." Immediately Jordan was done speaking, he brought out a silver box the size of a cigarette pack. "Could someone help me with mentholated spirit, a bowl of clean water, and a towel" Jordan requested.

Before long a resident doctor rushed back into the ward with all the items requested.

Jordan smiled and received the items from the young doctor and sterilized the nine needles in the box.

The sizes of the needles differ from each other.

Jordan looked very composed and calm. He picked up a needle and put it into the acupoint of Qihai, and after that, he inserted five more needles. Every needle was precisely placed.

There was absolute silence in the room only the sounds of breathing could be heard.

"Acupoint of Qihai will send warm energy into the body and relax the nerves of a patient" Jordan explained and flicked the needle at the Qihai point.

The moment he flicked the needle, the remaining five needles began to vibrate slightly.

After about seven minutes, Jordan retracted all six needles and use the towel to clean up the area the needles were retracted from.

"If the needles were inserted too deep into any acupoint or stayed on the skin of a patient, it would produce no result. You must never forget that skills will be useless if you don't have control over your needles" Jordan took his time explaining to the doctor's presence.

"Every doctor has their methods of using acupuncture needles. When performing acupuncture, you must be relaxed, composed, and focused. Acupuncture needles can give different results not because the needles are not good but because different hands would have different results."

"For any acupuncture treatment to be effective, the body of the patient must carry warm energy within. The Qihai acupoint is not between the thumb fingers, nighter the chest but the lower region of the belly about ten centimeters below the navel" immediately Jordan was done explaining, and you could see all the doctors with astonished expressions.

Alan was also in the room when all the explanation was going on and on.

Suddenly the resident doctor asked, "Dr. Jordan, how long will it take for someone to master the act of acupuncture?"

"Knowledge is infinite but to master acupuncture, you must spend at least three years to grab the basic principles. You would love to perform acupuncture right?" Jordan asked the doctor with a smile.

"Y...yes sir" he finally answered truthfully.

Jordan was smiling and said, "Knowing is a temptation, what you don't know won't tempt you. You're tempted to venture into acupuncture after you know its potency but my friend I will tell u to take it step by step".

After he finished speaking he told everyone, "we are done for today but if any of you have any questions to ask me, free comfortable asking but not when I'm eating" immediately he added the eating everyone burst out laughing and left the ward.
