"I'm definitely not used to him being that gentle. It still felt amazing, but I'm a rough woman. I need a little aggression in the bedroom." I think a little aggression in the bedroom sounds exciting.

"I'll keep that in mind." The temperature in the room rises again. Okay, maybe it's just me getting hot and bothered for my beautiful woman. I'm not waiting any longer for Tae.

"Can you be aggressive for me, Hazel?" Val is so sexy and unashamed.

"I might need a little practice. Starting now." I sit up and push her back against the mattress. Her panties are already off, so that's one less thing for me to worry about. "You need me here?" I go to the other thigh, and Tae chuckles.

"Are you sure you're ready, Haze?" Val's playfulness is gone, but I notice she's been calling me Haze instead of Hazel, and I think it suits me well. I look into her eyes and take her and Tae by the hand. "Without a doubt. There is no reason to put it off." She kisses my forehead.

"The initial mark will be very painful, and our neutralizer will burn at first," Tae explains. I start laughing because humans are ignorant. "Why are you laughing?"

"Humans call it venom, not neutralizer. Why am I only now realizing how stupid it is to call it venom?" Gosh, I'm so glad I got out of Mortal Grounds as soon as possible.

"Venom is deadly. We wouldn't inject something harmful into your body. Humans are something else. No offense." Tae mumbles his last sentence.

"Yeah, no kidding. Thankfully, you won't get poisoned tonight. Only neutralized while your body changes." Val added.

"I have so much to learn. I can only imagine what else I have been conditioned to believe." They gave me reassuring smiles.

"That's okay. Carlie called it venom as well, and we still laugh about it. Now she calls it Lycan serum. You'll learn fast. I think Carlie will become a good friend to you." Another thing dawned on me. "Carlie's father was my driver to the gala. Her parents are so happy for her." I hope Carlie realizes how fortunate she is.

"I know it's a long shot but give your parents time. One day, they'll realize they made the wrong choice and won't be able to live without you." Val said the words I needed to hear. Of course, I would be willing to forgive them. Right now, I just want to be angry and go to sleep.

"You're probably right, but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it." I take a deep breath and tilt my head to give them both access. "I'm ready."

I won't deny that I'm nervous as hell, and my heart is beating out of my chest. They lean in, kiss the pulse on both sides of my neck, and sink into my flesh. I squeeze their hands, and tears streak from my eyes, but I'm unable to make a noise. I want to scream, but I can't. The pain is unlike anything I've ever felt before as a burning sensation rolls down my neck and chest. They remove their teeth and lick the wounds clean.

"It's all done, babe." I hear Val's comforting voice in the distance, and my eyes get heavy.

"Don't fight the neutralizer. Just relax; we'll take care of you." Tae's fingers run through my hair as the world goes black.
