"Hurry! Drive faster!" Perry urged. Though he had martial artists protecting him, they were not nearly as good as Xena. Going to her was definitely the safest option.

Meanwhile, Xena was already waiting outside the Phoenix Legion headquarters, having received word of their arrival.

"Xena," Ted greeted with a forced smile as he got out of the car. He could barely hide his panic. "Xena, I-" But before he could finish, he suddenly coughed up a mouthful of blood and collapsed. "Son!" Perry quickly caught him.

Xena instantly appeared by their side. After extending her right arm, her eyes turned ice-cold. "Ted... is dead."

What?

Perry could barely breathe and nearly fainted. They had come as fast as possible, yet tragedy still struck.

Belle watched in shock. Did Ted die from a sudden illness or something else? My God! As a cousin of Lady Summers, Ted had died right in front of her. What a catastrophe!

Regaining his senses, Perry roared to the sky, "Felix! I'll have your life for this!"

Felix?

Xena frowned and asked sternly, "Uncle Perry, what exactly happened?"

Grabbing Xena's arm, Perry wept. "Xena, you know Ted was always healthy and had no illnesses. This is all Felix's doing! We were dining at a restaurant when Felix came. Though he didn't attack, he patted my son's shoulder. "I know he's a martial arts master, so I felt something was off and brought Ted here immediately. But... we were still too late."

Hearing Felix's name, Belle could not miss this chance to add fuel to the fire. "How dare he! Does being a martial artist mean he can do as he pleases? Milady, I request permission to arrest Felix immediately!" Xena gave

her a cold look. "On what charges? What evidence do you have?"

"Uh..." Belle fell silent. She had spoken impulsively with no real evidence.

"Uncle, I'll have the Phoenix Legion doctors perform an autopsy on Ted. If we find any traces of foul play, I assure you I won't let Felix off."

Looking at Ted in his arms, Perry's voice was hoarse as he said, "You must avenge him. You must!"

After making arrangements, Xena left with Belle. They would be notified immediately of any results. On the way, Xena recalled Felix's earlier phone call, warning her to keep Ted in line. She had not expected things to actually go this far. "It must be Felix's doing. He's too despicable. Breaking Ted's arm wasn't enough. He actually murdered Ted."

Hearing Belle's complaint, Xena asked with a serious tone, "You're a martial artist, too. Can you inject your energy into someone else's body and control its burst?"

Belle shook her head. "The energy would burst immediately if I do it. I can't control the timing."

Xena continued, "Neither can I. So, are you suggesting Felix's martial arts skills surpass even mine?"

Belle gave a bitter smile. How could Felix be that strong? But to pin Ted's death on Felix, what other explanation was there? Yet it did not make sense.

"Say no more. I'll meet Felix myself. If he can't give me a reasonable explanation, he shouldn't blame me for being merciless!"
