At Tabiner Bay, Felix sat in the courtyard of his villa as if he were waiting for someone. His

phone

rang.

It was Kane.

"Mr. Zeller, Daniel just called. He said Belle came to ask him about last night's incident in the gala room. He told her Joshua died of a sudden heart attack and didn't reveal your identity."

Felix knew someone was watching outside-someone Belle likely sent. Joshua's death could not be kept secret forever, as it would eventually reach Xena. This was why Felix had not immediately driven Daniel out of Avesburgh.

Others' words might be useless, but Daniel was the chief of Dragon Alliance's Disciplinary Hall. His status spoke for itself. Belle would at most ask a few questions and would not dare verify personally. So, Joshua's matter was easily settled. Tell Daniel to call Belle back and say this..."

"Understood, Mr. Zeller."

Felix was not one to always hide things. Sometimes, what had to be done should be done- just like Ted's death now. Xena's side surely had no evidence.

However, he did not want Xena fixating on him and disrupting his life. So he needed some irrelevant information to distract her.

Just as he put down his phone, a car stopped at the gate. Xena and Belle got out. "Felix! Feeling guilty? Since your gate's wide open, did you know we were coming?" 1

Listening to Belle's barrage, Felix threw her a glance and replied nonchalantly, "I'm just sunbathing. You're overthinking things."

Raising a hand to stop Belle's further questioning, Xena stared at Felix. "Ted's dead!" From Felix's reaction to this news, Xena was certain he had killed her cousin.

"Is that so? Karma is real, then. I guess even God couldn't stand that scumbag's actions anymore."

Taking a deep breath, Xena asked again, "I just want to know, do you have anything to do with Ted's death? I'll still consider you a real man if you admit to it."

Seeing Xena's still superior attitude, Felix said irritably, "Whether I'm a real or not can only be verified in bed, can't it?"

Belle's eyes reddened. "Felix! How dare you flirt with Lady Summers?"

"That's what she asked. I just responded in kind."

Clenching and unclenching her fists, Xena had never been so infuriated. Yet, constrained by her dignity as the goddess of war, she had no way to deal with Felix for now. "They're doing an autopsy on the body now, and we have the surveillance video of you patting Ted's shoulder.

"If we find even a trace of evidence, I'll come for you myself!"

Standing up, Felix smiled. "Xena, don't think you're some almighty being who can do whatever you want. Let me tell you. Don't make baseless accusations without evidence. Also, do you really think you can deal with whoever you want? At least I'm not in that category." Belle wanted to slap him. His words were too ridiculous. "Who do you think you are? Do you think someone like Lady Summers can't deal with you?"

Just then, her phone rang. Though it was an inappropriate time, Belle was Xena's assistant and could not miss any calls. It could be crucial military information.

Noticing that it was Daniel's number, which she had just saved last night, she grew curious.
