The Unshackled Queen: Never Say Never

Chapter 1939

Unable to believe her ears, Melina felt as if she’d been struck by lightning and shook her head in disbelief.

“This can’t be.

.

I clearly…”

Dotson interrupted, “We used a private jet.

It wasn’t difficult to bring you back.

Realizing all her hopes were dashed, Melina collapsed to the floor, losing her earlier arrogance.

She looked at Bryson with resentment and burst out, “Bryson, you owe me.

You do know you owe me, right? After I’ve cared for you for so long, you still chose Hannah over me.

Is that fair?”

Melina pounded the floor, her eyes fixed on him.

“Everything I did was for you, yet now you’re turning against me and siding with Hannah.

You betrayed me!”

Bryson gazed at her coldly and said, “Loving someone isn’t wrong.

If I led you on or encouraged you, that would be on me.

But, Melina, I made it clear from the start.

Sure, the Glyn and Mitchell families are old friends, but I never intended to be with you.

His expression hardened as he continued, “You caused trouble for Hannah repeatedly.

Out of respect for our families, and because Hannah didn’t want a feud, I let you go scot-free several times.

But now you want to twist this against me?”

Bryson’s eyes were like ice as he looked at Melina without emotion.

“Do you really think I won’t act against you?”

“You…” Melina felt a chill run down her spine, realizing he was staring at her as if she were already dead.

She bit her lip hard, unable to speak.

With the recording secured, Hannah saw no reason to prolong the conversation.

She made a slight gesture, and Dotson immediately approached, hauling Melina off the floor.

“What are you doing? Let go of me!” Melina yelled as she struggled.

The door swung open, revealing several bodyguards outside, and Dotson threw her out without mercy.

“Take her to the station along with the evidence,” he commanded.

Looking down at Melina, he added, “She knows more than she’s saying.

Let’s find out what else she’s hiding.

Melina saw the look in his eyes and felt herself collapse in fear as she was led away.

Full of regret, she thought, if only she had known Hannah’s people were this ruthless, she would never have provoked her.

With Melina out of the way, Hannah asked Bryson, “What’s Brodie’s status?”

“A large sum was sent to him from abroad,” Bryson replied.

Hannah’s brow furrowed.

“Remington?”

Bryson shook his head.

“But the funds were quickly frozen.

Probably Remington’s doing.

Hannah’s lips curled into a cold smile.

“Remington is playing a careful game.

Brodie’s time is running out.
